A FOUR KEYED FLUTE by PRUDENT in PARIS, c.1800.

Stamped “Prudent / Paris” with fleur de lys.
Five ebony joints ivory mounted.
One square silver key.
Three later silver keys with circular cover.
On the head, the original round mouth-hole has been obturated
and an oval-shaped close bored.
Tracks of key try on the middle joint.
A crack restored on the barrel.
(very good sounding… Probably the reason for a such desperate modernization…)
Sounding length: 52,4cm
Total length: 53,9cm
